Skyler is a CMO, brand manager, philanthropist, and experienced business investor who founded Maak Impact after spending years working across Africa. His firsthand experience in Africa and refugee communities drives his mission to end poverty through business.
Mike Linton
Board Member
Mike is one of Utah's most respected entrepreneurs and CEO of VLCM, a leading cybersecurity and IT firm. Named Utah Business CEO of the Year in 2025, Mike brings decades of leadership in technology and business to the Maak Impact board. His years of work directly in Kakuma, Kenya inspired the mission to create 1,000 jobs in the camp.
Deven Gogarty
Director
Deven is a BYU Finance graduate and advocate for business development in Africa. He has traveled to Africa many times, and works directly with entrepreneurs on the ground. His background in Africa and African venture capital gives him expertise in identifying and supporting businesses that transform communities.
Pascal Itangishaka
Program Co-Director
Pascal works on the ground in Kakuma identifying entrepreneurs, running programs, and monitoring capital deployment/repayment. As a Burundian refugee and founder of a Kakuma farming business himself, Pascal brings firsthand experience and deep community trust to every decision made.
Talmage Bratt
Director of Marketing
Talmage is an experienced marketer and business strategist with seven years building Maak Impact from the ground up. Having helped launch the Kakuma loan programs and worked directly with entrepreneurs in the camp, he now leads all marketing efforts — bringing the stories of Kakuma to a global audience.
Damaris Chirchir
Program Co-Director
Damaris is a university-educated entrepreneur and business leader based in Kakuma, Kenya, with a deep commitment to empowering refugee entrepreneurs. Her firsthand knowledge of the local business environment and expertise in supporting entrepreneurs on the ground makes her a key force in ensuring Maak Impact's programs and operations deliver real, lasting results.
Innocent Havyarimana
In-country Operations
Innocent Havyarimana is a Burundian entrepreneur and founder of GLAP Enterprises — a soap company he built from $7 in Kakuma that now employs 44 people across Kenya. Featured by the World Economic Forum and the UN, he is one of Kakuma's most celebrated success stories and the first person to help launch Maak Impact's programs on the ground.

Molly is a dedicated philanthropist with a passion for using business as a force to end poverty. Having traveled to Kakuma firsthand, she brings a deep personal connection to Maak Impact's mission and an unwavering commitment to creating opportunity and dignity for refugees.
